Saddle Lake Cree Nation #125 is located approximately 180km northeast of Edmonton and 30km west of St. Paul, Alberta. 

Saddle Lake is unique in that it has two separate councils and chiefs governing their two nations – Saddle Lake Cree Nation and Whitefish Lake First Nation. Saddle Lake and Whitefish Lake have a shared, band government, and the two are considered to be one Nation.
